Democratic candidates to appear at top of ballots
(Oklahoma City) – Democratic candidates will appear first on the state’s November General Election ballots following the results of a drawing held Tuesday, Oklahoma Election Board Secretary Paul Ziriax announced.
State Law requires the election board secretary conduct a drawing every two years to determine the order of the party candidates on the ballot. Representatives of both parties observed the drawing Tuesday at the election board’s office at the State Capitol.
Democratic candidates will appear first, followed by Republicans. Drawings were also held Tuesday to determine the order of Independent candidates for state and federal office.
