High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM)

The 2025-2026 instructional materials cycle will review Social Studies, Social Studies Content Reading, and Personal Financial Literacy.


Public Comment Form – Instructional Material Review

Residents of Oklahoma and non-residents who are official representatives of publishing companies are invited to submit comments for the State Textbook Committee to review textbooks currently being considered for adoption. This process is conducted in accordance with: Oklahoma Statute 70 § 16-102.1 and Oklahoma Administrative Code 720:10-5-2.

Materials currently up for adoption in Oklahoma can be reviewed at any of the Congressional District Review Centers

The deadline to submit public comments is Thursday, September 12, at 11:59 a.m., based on the calendar approved by the State Textbook Committee.

If public comments are received, the Committee will meet on Friday, October 3, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the State Board Room at the Oklahoma State Department of Education to review and discuss them.
