Nex Steps to Obtain your License
Getting a Learner Permit
A Learner Permit is required if you are under 18 to take a drive test.
Before taking the drive test, you must:
- Hold your Learner Permit for at least 180 days
- Complete at least 50 hours of behind-the-wheel training (including 10 hours at night)
- Have no traffic convictions on your driving record
- Complete the Work Zone Safe online course (free and available here)
Getting a Learner Permit
A Learner Permit is not required if you are 18 or older to take a drive test.
However, if you choose to get one for practice, you must hold it for at least 30 days before applying for an unrestricted license.
Getting a Driver License
Visit a Service Oklahoma Licensing Office to take a drive test.
During your visit, the Driving Examiner will tell you where to drive and what driving maneuvers to perform.
If You Did Not Pass: Try again tomorrow!
Take a Moment to Review
You can take the online test twice. If you don’t pass after two attempts, you’ll need to visit a Service Oklahoma location to retake the test in person. Find the nearest location here.
