Injury Prevention for Babies
We all want to keep our children safe and secure and help them live to their full potential. Knowing how to prevent the leading causes of injuries to babies is a step toward this goal.
Suffocation, motor vehicle crashes, drowning and fires/burns are the leading causes of unintentional injury death among babies less than one year old. Oklahoma ranks 15th nationally in unintentional injuries to children under the age of 15.
And, all babies cry – sometimes for a long time.
