Banking Operations


Banking Services are provided to State Agencies by the State Treasurer's Banking Operations Department, which is within the Banking Services Division of the Oklahoma State Treasurer’s Office. 

The Banking Operations Department provides banking services such as: Daily Deposits, Warrant Disbursements, ACH Wires, Stop Payments, Hard Cancels, Agency Return Items, Forgeries, Safekeeping, Check Cashing, Agency Transfer Request.

Deposit Processing

The State Treasurer's Office – Banking Operations processes all money deposited by each State agency through maintaining and recording the activity on the agencies accounts.                                     

Warrant Processing

All state warrants are paid by the State Treasurer. The State Treasurer uses a positive pay type of account reconciliation service which is one of the most effective fraud prevention tools available.                                       

ACH/Wire Processing

The State Treasurer's Office facilitates the receipt and posting of electronic deposits to state agency accounts by receiving and processing ACH credit transactions from external sources.

Chargeback Processing

Checks deposited by state agencies with the State Treasurer's Office may be returned to the Treasurer’s Office because of insufficient funds, closed accounts or because they are otherwise deemed uncollectible.

Foreign Funds

The State Treasurer's Office processes foreign checks for state agencies because they require special handling.

 

                                                              

Check Cashing Window

The State Treasurer’s Office provides a cashier/check cashing window in which state agencies are able to collect warrants printed, interagency mail, payroll and CMIA. The Treasurer’s Office cashier window is also open to the public to cash any state issued warrant.

Interagency Transfer of Funds

Interagency transfers provide state agencies an efficient method of transferring funds between agencies.
