Overview
The Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening and Support serve as a shared framework for everyone involved in supporting families—public agencies, foundations, community networks, organizations, and families themselves. These Standards guide planning, implementation, and evaluation of high-quality programs that strengthen families and communities.
They offer a common language across programs such as Family Resource Centers, home visiting, and early childhood initiatives, helping align efforts toward consistent, family-centered practice.
By bringing together the Principles of Family Support Practice and the Strengthening Families Framework—which is grounded in the five research-informed Protective Factors—the Standards help ensure that families receive effective, strengths-based support through quality, evidence-informed approaches.
Standards of Quality Training Registration
The Oklahoma Family Support Network offers free Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening and Support trainings for Family Resource Centers, community organizations, and family-serving professionals.
These interactive sessions provide tools and frameworks to help programs strengthen protective factors and align services with nationally recognized quality standards.
Each participant receives a certificate of completion and access to individualized technical assistance following the training.
