The Preschool Development Grant provides funding for systems that serve Oklahoma’s children ranging from birth to five-year-olds. In collaboration with the Oklahoma Partnership for School Readiness, the Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth Office of Planning and Coordination builds family engagement capacity and provides an opportunity for family voice to be heard in state-wide planning.  With the overarching goal to increase family engagement, OCCY will train state-wide and local partners in family engagement practices and how to build family advisory boards. By utilizing the existing framework of the Family Support Network and the Parent Partnership Board’s lived experience as guidance, OCCY will bridge the gap from providers to families and beyond.
