Children of Incarcerated Parents: Advisory Committee

The Oklahoma Children of Incarcerated Parents (CIP) Advisory Committee brings together partners from across the state, including representatives from academia, nonprofits, the faith community, government, law enforcement, businesses, and individuals with lived experience. The committee works together to improve the lives of children with incarcerated parents by addressing their needs and enhancing their well-being.

The committee meets on the second Friday of most months from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the OCCY offices, with participants attending both in person and virtually. Meetings are open to individuals and organizations interested in supporting children of incarcerated parents and their families. The committee is convened by OCCY and chaired by David McLeod, Ph.D., MSW, from the University of Oklahoma.
