Youth Financial Literacy

The Youth Financial Literacy (YFL) initiative is a partnership between the Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth (OCCY) and Oklahoma’s Credit Union to support youth who are experiencing homelessness or transitioning out of foster care.

The initiative focuses on reducing financial barriers and increasing access to basic financial tools and education that support stability and independence.

About the Initiative

Through this partnership, youth may have access to:

  • No-cost checking and savings accounts
  • Alternative identity verification options when a state-issued ID is not available
  • Financial literacy workshops tailored to youth needs and settings
