Drummond seeks help finding 10 Most Wanted fugitive as Pryor murder case turns 22
OKLAHOMA CITY (Oct. 23, 2026) – Twenty-two years to the day after a Pryor woman was killed, Attorney General Gentner Drummond is renewing his call for the public’s help finding the man accused of her murder.
Alfonso Mondragon, 51, is charged with first-degree murder in the Oct. 23, 2004, death of his girlfriend, Shelley Huffman, who died of blunt force trauma to the back of the head. Mondragon has been on the Attorney General’s 10 Most Wanted list since 2024, making him one of its longest-standing fugitives.
“For more than two decades, this family has waited for justice,” Drummond said. “Time has not lessened the brutality of this crime or our resolve to see Alfonso Mondragon answer for it. Someone knows where he is. I urge anyone with information to come forward.”
The Attorney General’s Office is partnering with the Pryor Police Department in the search. A reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads directly to Mondragon's arrest is available.
Mondragon is described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. His date of birth is May 12, 1975. He may also use the names Alfonzo Mondragon or Alfonso Hernandez. Because he has been a fugitive for more than 20 years, his appearance may have changed. Investigators believe he may be in Mexico.
Anyone with information on Mondragon’s whereabouts is asked to contact 405-343-8107 or OKMostWanted@oag.ok.gov. Tips may be submitted anonymously.
Drummond launched the 10 Most Wanted in September 2024 to highlight violent fugitives and enlist the public’s help. Since the program’s launch, 17 fugitives accused of crimes such as murder, rape and drug trafficking have been captured.
