Certified Batterers Intervention Programs

The programs listed below are currently certified by the Oklahoma Attorney General in accordance with Title 75, Chapters 1 and 25 of the Oklahoma Administrative Code. BIPs are structured court referred, or self-referred, domestic violence intervention services designed to address the root causes of domestic violence and support long-term behavior change through accountability and education.

Certified Virtual Batterers Intervention Programs

In certain circumstances, individuals may be approved to attend a Batterers Intervention Program (BIP) virtually. Virtual sessions may be allowed when:

  • If the client resides or works in a county that does not have a certified batterer intervention program, and the nearest certified program is over forty-five (45) miles from their residence or work site;
  • If the client has an occupation that requires that they regularly, and physically work away from the nearest certified program more than two weeks in succession per month;
  • If the client has accessibility or accommodation needs to address consistent lack of transportation and/or disability; or
  • If the program has outlined in an inclement weather policy procedures for offering virtual group sessions.

Each program will explain its rules and requirements for virtual participation.
