OKLAHOMA CITY (Jan. 14, 2026) – Attorney General Gentner Drummond commented today on the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board’s decision to deny clemency for convicted murderer Kendrick Simpson.
Simpson was sentenced to death for the brutal 2006 drive-by murders of Glen Palmer and Anthony Jones in Oklahoma City. Following the killings, Simpson threatened accomplices and attempted to arrange the murder of the sole surviving witness in an effort to silence him. Prior to the murders, Simpson also committed an armed home-invasion robbery in which he shot a business owner execution-style.
“This ruthless and violent killer hunted and executed his victims without remorse," Drummond said. "I commend the Pardon and Parole Board for rejecting clemency today. The victims' families will finally see justice when the death sentence is carried out on Feb. 12.”
