OKLAHOMA CITY (Jan. 23, 2026) – Attorney General Gentner Drummond today announced several recent leadership changes in the Office of the Attorney General.
Phil Bacharach has stepped down as director of communications and is succeeded by Shauna Peters, a seasoned communications professional with extensive work in both the public and private sectors. Most recently, she was deputy director for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, where Peters oversaw the agency’s communications, legislation and strategic engagement divisions.
Drummond also announced that Stephanie Alexander has been hired to serve as deputy chief of staff, where she will work alongside Chief of Staff Rob Johnson.
Alexander has a wealth of political experience, most recently having served as campaign manager for Drummond’s gubernatorial bid, and the CEO of a political consulting firm. In 2020, she was chief of staff in President Donald Trump’s reelection bid. Four years earlier, Alexander served as a battleground states director for then-candidate Trump and coordinated hundreds of his rallies nationwide.
Bacharach remains a senior advisor to the Attorney General’s Office. Alexander will serve in an advisory role for the Drummond campaign.
