Drummond comments on Cuesta-Rodriguez execution

OKLAHOMA CITY (Aug. 13, 2026) – Attorney General Gentner Drummond made the following comments today after the execution of Carlos Cuesta-Rodriguez at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester.

“Justice has been served for Olimpia Fisher whose life was tragically cut short,” Drummond said. “I pray that her family finds some measure of peace after enduring 23 years of unimaginable grief.”

Cuesta-Rodriguez was sentenced to death for murdering Olimpia Fisher in 2003 at their Oklahoma City home.
