OKLAHOMA CITY (Sept. 23, 2025) – Attorney General Gentner Drummond made the following statement after the termination of longtime Oklahoma State football coach Mike Gundy. Drummond earned his bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University.
"Like countless Cowboy fans throughout the country, I have immense respect for Coach Gundy and the unparalleled success he helped generate for Oklahoma State football. I know it must have been difficult for university leadership to come to this decision. Change and progress are usually difficult and sometimes painful — but nearly always worth it. I continue to be 'loyal and true,' and more excited than ever to see what the future holds for Oklahoma State."
