Drummond comments on legislative override of SB 102

OKLAHOMA CITY (May 29, 2024) – Attorney General Gentner Drummond made the following remarks today after the state Legislature overrode Gov. Stitt’s veto of Senate Bill 102, which increases the retirement benefits of law enforcement professionals.

“I want to commend the legislators who overrode the Governor’s veto of SB 102. By stepping up for law enforcement, lawmakers are strengthening the recruitment and retention of police officers who will help ensure secure communities. I am proud to stand with the men and women who risk their lives to protect our families, and I am thankful for the Legislature’s decisive action.”
