The state of Oklahoma has been in a downward health trend since the 1990’s, until recently. Through the efforts of the state and county health departments, state and local governments and individual communities the health of Oklahomans is looking up. The Community Epidemiology and Evaluation Unit provides analytical and evaluative support for a variety of program areas including:

- Health Education & Promotion
- Minority Health
- Office of Primary Care & Rural Health
- Turning Point
In addition, Community Epidemiology & Evaluation works with county health departments and community partnerships to assess the needs of local communities by providing survey development and implementation and data analysis.
