FAQ's Election of Local School Board of Education

School board of education members are elected by the public. Elections are held as seats become available, which depends on the rotation schedule of each school district. To learn more about your district's board of education, including seat availability and current members, visit your school district's website.

At your County Election Board.

The first Monday-Wednesday in December.

Declaration of Candidacy packet including:

• Candidate information and oath form signed and notarized
• Voter registration verification form
• Criminal history disclosure form signed
• Qualifications and requriement for Board of Education Candidates form signed
