On-Site Sewage Treatment Information
A three step process for an on-site sewage system, commonly referred to as a septic system.
DEQ Certified Installers
This program certifies on-site system installers to inspect their own installations.
DEQ Certified Soil Profilers
This program trains and certifies individuals to perform soil profile tests for designing on-site sewage treatment systems in Oklahoma.
DEQ Licensed Septage Pumpers and Transporters
Periodic pumping of the septic tank is essential to the long-term operation of an on-site sewage treatment system.

Notice: Beginning on or after May 1, 2022, the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality will begin assessing customers making any payment via credit or debit card a merchant fee in the amount of 2.25% of the credit/debit card payment amount. Additionally, DEQ will also charge a portal fee of $2.00 for each transaction paid by a credit or debit card. Customers paying by electronic check/ACH transaction will be assessed a merchant fee of $1.00. For questions regarding the above-referenced fees, please email ARHelpdesk@deq.ok.gov.
