Municipal Permitting

This section is responsible for implementing the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System for municipal dischargers. The section issues discharge permits for municipalities that discharge or dispose of treated wastewater.

This section also implements State regulations for the supply and use of municipal reclaimed water. The section issues Permit to Supply Reclaimed Water to both municipal dischargers and municipal total retention lagoon systems that supply reclaimed water for land application or other irrigation.
