  • Air Quality Advisory Council
    The Air Quality Advisory Council (AQAC) serves as the initial rulemaking body for the AQD and operates under the authority of the Oklahoma Clean Air Act and the Oklahoma Environmental Quality Code. The AQAC holds public hearings, reviews air quality issues, and provides expertise about various air quality issues.
  • Hazardous Waste Management Advisory Council
    The Hazardous Waste Management Advisory Council (HWMAC) serves as the initial rulemaking body for the LPD and operates under the authority of the Oklahoma Hazardous Waste Management Act. The HWMAC holds public hearings, reviews hazardous waste issues, and provides expertise about various hazardous waste issues. 
  • OHMERC
    The Oklahoma Hazardous Materials Emergency Response Commission (OHMERC) is the State Emergency Response Commission, mandated under the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act, Title III (SARA Title III), also known as the Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act.
  • Radiation Management Advisory Council
    The Radiation Management Advisory Council (RMAC) serves as the initial rulemaking body for the LPD and operates under the authority of the Oklahoma Radiation Management Act. The RMAC holds public hearings, reviews radiation management issues, and provides expertise about various radiation management issues.
  • Solid Waste Management Advisory Council
    The Solid Waste Management Advisory Council Advisory Council (SWMAC) serves as the initial rulemaking body for the LPD and operates under the authority of the Oklahoma Solid Waste Management Act. The SWMAC holds public hearings, reviews solid waste issues, and provides expertise about various solid waste issues.
  • Water Quality Division Advisory Council
    The Water Quality Management Advisory Council (WQMAC) reviews and approves water quality rules and recommends changes to the Environmental Quality Board. The council is made up of twelve members, appointed for three-year terms, representing local government, industry, oil and gas, geology, engineering, agriculture, rural water districts, environmental groups, the general public, private laboratory, operator of a municipal waterworks or wastewater works facility and operator in rural water and sewer district.
