Annual Renewal of Certifications and Licenses

Certified Installer, Soil Profiler, Septage Pumper and Transporter

All On-Site program certifications and licenses expire January 31 of each year and must be renewed annually.

Renewal Requirements are set forth by 252:641-Individual and Small Public On-Site Sewage Treatment Systems and 252:645 Septage Pumpers and Transporters. 

Administrative staff in Oklahoma City send renewal packets by email in November of each year. 

All renewal items are due by January 15 of each year. If items are not submitted or postmarked by the deadline, a late fee may apply. If all items or fees are not received by February 1, you will be placed in a non-renewed status.

Renewal Requirements

  • Six (6) hours of Renewal Training
  • Payment of Annual Certification Fee
  • Form 641-002: Certified Installer Application, if updates to contact or employment information are needed

  • Four (4) hours of Renewal Training
  • Payment of Annual Certification Fee
  • Annual texturing test administered by DEQ
  • Form 641-011: Soil Profiler Application, if updates to contact or employment information are needed

Licensee

  • Two (2) hours of Renewal Training
  • Form 645-001: Septage Pumper and Transporter Application
  • Form 645-004: Consent for Disposal of Septage
  • List of Drivers, including hire date
Inspection and Form, as applicable:
  • Vehicle Inspection of each vehicle
  • Form 645-006: Land Application Sites
  • Form 645-011: Septage Treatment Facilities
  • Form 645-012: Septage Storage Facilities

  Driver

  • Two (2) hours of Renewal Training
  • Form 645-001: Septage Pumper and Transporter Application (Sections 1-3 & 7)

Renewal Training Hours

DEQ does not provide training for the purpose of renewing your certification or license.

Training hours must be completed by each applicant and proof of training must list the applicant's name.

Approved training hours are applied simultaneously across all certification types. 

For example, an individual certified as both a Certified Installer and a Soil Profiler will only be required to provide proof of 6 hours of Continuing Education Units (CEUs). *When submitting proof of training, please include all applicable license/certification numbers.
