Naloxone
What is Naloxone?
Naloxone (brand name Narcan and Evzio) is a medication that reverses opioid overdoses, including heroin, fentanyl, and illicit opioids. Naloxone is safe and effective, and has no effect on non-opioid overdoses.
Training and free naloxone are available to law enforcement and emergency medical personnel through the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.
