Steps to Renew Your State ID In-Person

Bring the following documents to your visit:

  • Primary ID - For IDs that are valid or have been expired for less than 1 year, the only documentation you need is a form of Primary ID.
  • State-issued birth certificate, valid U.S. passport, or permanent resident card - For IDs that have been expired for more than 1 year, you will need to bring one of documents listed above. No other form of identification will be accepted.
  • Name Change Document (if applicable) - If the last name to be entered on the Oklahoma License is different from the name on the Primary ID, the applicant must bring in a document showing a legal name change.
