Short Description from Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation:
The Winged Mapleleaf (Quadrula fragosa) is approximately four inches in length. The shell has multiple, characteristic bumps and varies in color from greenish to dark brown.
Natural Habitat:
Streams where riffles with gravel, sand or rubble bottoms, and clear high-quality water occur.
