"X-ray tube" means any electron tube which is designed to be used primarily for the production of x-rays.
This program was created to protect the general public, health care employees, and patients from excessive radiation emitted from diagnostic x-ray equipment. Our mission is to minimize exposure to radiation encountered by these individuals.
Program staff test diagnostic x-ray equipment for proper functioning, make practitioners and health care workers aware of proper techniques to minimize exposure, and monitor procedures utilized during diagnostic x-ray examinations.
