Child Guidance
All families can benefit from information and resources to assist them in guiding and nurturing their children.
Based on that belief, our counselors provide
educational and counseling services to:
-support and strengthen families to meet the challenges of modern parenting
-prevent family crises by meeting needs early
-improve family relationships and interaction
-increase parent's and caregiver's abilities to provide appropriate guidance and learning opportunities for children
-enhance child and youth development and life skills
-improve the capacity of communities to provide resources for families to successfully rear their children
Bryan County Child Guidance provides a variety of services including ADHD screening, speech and language evaluations and services, developmental evaluations for children 0-6 years of age, and individual counseling for children up to 13 years of age. Also, Bryan County Health Department has the beneficial advantage of having a Psychological Clinician, a Speech/Language Pathologist, and a Child Development Specialist. The program accepts Sooner Care and private pay based on income.
