ICYMI: Walters Announces Oklahoma Teacher of the Year Finalists

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – State Superintendent Ryan Walters has announced the ten finalists for the 2025 Oklahoma Teacher of the Year, recognizing educators who exemplify excellence in the classroom. The winner will be announced at the InspireOK event in July.

“These educators exemplify the passion and excellence that define Oklahoma’s teaching community,” said Superintendent Walters. “Their dedication to their students and schools is truly inspiring, and I am proud to recognize their hard work and the lasting impact they make every day.”

  • Paula Caudill | Collinsville Upper Elementary 
  • Jennifer Meyer | Grove Elementary 
  • Melissa Lytle | Bixby North Intermediate 
  • Chrystal Reis | LW Westfall Elementary 
  • Shaunda Usry | Robert E. Lee Early Childhood Center 
  • Lauren Draper | Tuttle Middle School 
  • Stacey Barker | Merritt Elementary
