Oklahoma City, OK – OSDE is proud to partner with K-12 online school, American Virtual Academy. Oklahoma is now one of the first states in the nation to approve a partnership with the online school. American Virtual Academy is focused on promoting American principles rather than pushing a liberal agenda that has proven to be anti-American, antisemitic, and anti-family.
The Academy is also the newest partner in OSDE’s fight against far Left teachers unions and woke educators using the classroom for their political activism. “Left-wing indoctrination in schools poses a serious threat to our students, and parents deserve more options for their kids,” said Superintendent Ryan Walters. “We are proud to be one of the first states in the country to do this.”
American Virtual Academy is in the approval process of the Parental Choice Tax Credit so parents will have access to a private school education that has already been funded in part by their hard working tax dollars. “We are thrilled to work with OSDE to provide Oklahoma parents with a pro-American, patriotic education for their children,” said Tracy Harelson, Executive Director of Verano Learning Partners / Corporate Partner for AVA.
