Stitt's illegal immigration partnership marks a unified front in the mission to execute on Trump's directive
Oklahoma City, OK―Today, Superintendent Ryan Walters applauds Governor Kevin Stitt's newly announced partnership with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, which will empower Oklahoma law enforcement to remove criminal illegal aliens from the state. Walters emphasized the urgent need for all state leaders to back this effort and called on Attorney General Gentner Drummond to join the fight.
"For too long illegal immigration has cost Oklahomans millions," said Superintendent Walters. "We commend Governor Stitt for taking action, and we look forward to AG Drummon joining in our fight to make Oklahoma a safer place to live."
This marks the second Trump Executive Order that the Walters team has addressed in anticipation of an America First Agenda. Earlier this week, the Trump administration asked that all DEI measures be removed from education., a move that Walters anticipated and began executing earlier in the year.
"We have fought to ensure state resources are not exploited by illegal immigrants, particularly in Oklahoma's education system," Walters added. "We look forward to a day in the near future when our leaders stop using the issue for headline generators and start protecting residents they swore to defend."
