Walters Comments on Rule Eliminating Transgender Ideology

Oklahoma City, Okla – State Superintendent Ryan Walters reiterated his support for a rule change that prohibits altering sex or gender designations in any prior year student records without authorization from the State Board of Education. The rule change had a public hearing today.

“These rules are common sense,” said Walters. “Oklahomans are tired of the left-wing nonsense being pushed on our schools. Let radical extremists promote pronoun confusion. In Oklahoma, we’ll focus on reading and math.”
