Applications for Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) are available for those who were impacted by the severe weather that occurred on May 19, 2024 to May 28, 2024 in Blaine, Caddo, Custer, Delaware, Jackson, Mayes, Muskogee and Rogers counties. The deadline to submit a claim for DUA 4791 is August 13, 2024. Applications submitted after these date will be considered untimely unless the individual provides good cause for filing after the deadline. All individuals must file an unemployment insurance claim at https://oklahoma.gov/oesc/individuals. For more information or questions, individuals can call the Unemployment Service Center at 405-525-1500 or visit one of the OESC’s field offices.

Oklahoma’s Unemployment Rate Sets New Low in June

Oklahoma’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate declined 0.1 percentage point to 2.7 percent in June, setting a new series low. (All state series begin in 1976). The U.S. unemployment rate moved down 0.1 percentage point to 3.6 percent in June. Over the year, the state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 0.3 percentage point lower than June 2022.
