County Unemployment Rates

April 2023: Jobless rates in were lower than a year earlier in 71 counties, higher in 3 counties and unchanged in 3 counties.

Job Openings vs. Unemployment

March 2023: Oklahoma's number of job openings and the number of unemployed persons decreased over the month.

In March, job openings rates decreased in 15 states, increased in 1 state and the District of Columbia, and were little changed in 34 states, including Oklahoma. Over the month, the national job openings rate was little changed.

Oklahoma’s job openings rate was little changed (-0.1 point) at 6.5 percent in March following an unrevised 6.6 percent rate in the previous month. Over the month, the national job openings rate was little changed (-0.2 point).

Job openings data was gathered from the Bureau of Labor Statistics Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS) and unemployment data from Local Area Unemployment Statistics (LAUS).
