The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality wishes to express appreciation to Bryan County Sheriff Johnny Christian and District 19 District Attorney Tim Webster for their work in investigating and charging Bryan County resident, Mr. Nathan Sexton, with two felony charges of obtaining money by trick or deception.

Mr. Sexton is currently the subject of multiple DEQ administrative proceedings in Bryan and Marshall Counties for his repeated violations of state law and rules regarding the operation of an onsite septic installation and plumbing business. DEQ’s investigation is ongoing, and more information will likely be available at a later date.

Improperly installed septic systems may have serious environmental implications such as raw and partially treated sewage in residential yards and sewage backing up into homes which could lead to exposure to serious diseases. If you had a septic system installed by Mr. Sexton, and feel you are having issues with the system, please contact DEQ at 800.522.0206 or reach out to the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office at 580.924.3000.
