The Oklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission has adopted the 2023 National Electrical Code (NEC), which will take effect on September 14, 2024.
Electrical Testing Grace Period
There is a 90-day grace period for licensing tests that include questions about the National Electrical Code (NEC). During this time, all NEC-related questions will refer to the 2020 NEC, and this will continue until December 13, 2024. Starting on December 14, 2024, all test questions will be updated to reference the 2023 NEC.
