The contractor must furnish proof to the CIB of general liability insurance in an amount not less than $500,000 for residential roofing contractor work, generally a Certificate of Liability Insurance showing the CIB as a Certificate Holder so notices of change will be made promptly to the CIB. Proof that the general liability policy specifically includes coverage of roofing work must be provided by the insurance policy carrier to the registrar.

Proof that the general liability policy specifically includes coverage of roofing work must be provided by the insurance policy carrier to the registrar.

Thirty (30) days after the first failure, and ninety (90) days after subsequent failure(s).

All qualifying parties of commercial roofing contractors, beginning three (3) years from the date he or she passed their current endorsement exam, are required to complete four (4) hours of approved continuing education every three (3) years or thirty-six (36) months within the preceding thirty-six (36) months of their license expiration. The application is available for download from this website by going to “Forms/Applications” and clicking on the specific form. Forms are also available at the CIB office, or a form can be mailed to you upon request. When a licensee or registrant has a change in address or phone number, notice to the CIB is required.
