Interlocal Cooperation Agreements

Interlocal Cooperation Agreements

Authorized by 74 O.S., Section 1001 et.seq. and  69 O.S., Section 601

The Interlocal Cooperation Act (74 O.S. § 1001 et seq.) allows public agencies in Oklahoma—such as cities, counties, school districts, and state agencies—to work together and share resources to provide services more efficiently to the public. Under Oklahoma Statutes Title 69, Section 601, county commissioners are specifically authorized to enter into cooperative agreements with other local governments to build, repair, or maintain roads, bridges, and related infrastructure.
