Legislative Branch Records
The Oklahoma Secretary of State serves as the permanent record repository for key legislative records. In accordance with state statutory mandates and the Oklahoma Constitution, the Secretary of State maintains official records, including original signed legislative acts and bills, passed legislative resolutions, and Legislative Appointments. Additionally, the office acts as the filing authority for all three forms of State Questions—citizen-led initiative petitions, referendum petitions, and legislative referendums—and oversees management and contracting with the state's publisher for the electronic publication of the Official Oklahoma Statutes and the Oklahoma Constitution.
