FILING INSTRUCTIONS – TRIBAL CROSS-DEPUTIZATION AGREEMENTS
Local government agencies or tribal entities submitting a cross-deputization agreement for filing must fulfill the following requirements:
1. Submit Paper Documentation: Provide one (1) complete copy of the cross-deputization agreement by MAIL or HAND DELIVERY. (Please note: Emailed copies are no longer accepted)
- Document Format: Certified or original signed copies are preferred for the permanent record. If submitting a duplicate copy, it must be clean, legible, and easily scanned/imaged
2. Include Cover Letter: Enclose a cover letter with the submitter's full contact information, including a complete, reliable mailing address for returning the file-stamped copy via standard USPS mail.
3. Filing Fee: There is no fee required to file a cross-deputization agreement.
