In This Issue ...

Procurement professionals and agency leaders,

Recently we sent out a CPO announcement regarding Fiscal Year 2024 deadlines for those purchases that flow through Central Purchasing (CP) and Capital Assets Management (CAM). Please note an error was made in that announcement.

CAM no longer offers Environmental Abatement, Elevator Maintenance or Job Order Contracting; however, they do still offer the other enumerated value-added (pre-bid) programs including Paving, Roof Asset Management, Real Estate Appraisers and IDIQ Consultant services (Architectural and Engineering, Environmental Consulting, Land Survey, Geotechnical/Materials Testing and Construction Inspections).

If you have questions or specific concerns about upcoming needs for fiscal year-end, please contact amber.adams@omes.ok.gov for CP and josh.debaud@omes.ok.gov for CAM inquiries.

Please keep an eye out for the new customizations in PeopleSoft set to go-live Jan. 29. Not only will you be utilizing the new check-boxes and drop-down menus for sole sources, statewide orders, and exempt purchases, but starting Monday Requisitions in PeopleSoft will now be in an upgraded view. Keep an eye out for more training materials and guidance on these changes.

If you ever have any questions related to the contents of this newsletter, please reach out to my team.

Warm regards,

Amanda L. Otis, Esq.
State Purchasing Director

SW0132-Non-IT Temporary Employment Services

Central Purchasing is happy to announce that Temporary Employment services is no longer under State Use and is instead moving to Statewide 0132 Non-IT Temporary Employment Service.

This allows agencies to have more options for their temporary staffing needs. This change will promote the quality and cost for our state as a whole. If you have questions about SW0132, please contact Statewide Contracts Manager Lara Moore at lara.moore@omes.ok.gov.

Our current vendors include Dataman USA LLC, InGenesis Inc. and Premier Staffing Source Inc. with several others hoping to onboard soon.

Helpful tip

PeopleSoft Terminology

People use close and cancel interchangeably but they have two separate meanings and two different processes in PeopleSoft.

  • Close is used for POs they have vouchered against but no longer need. (Example: Think closing out the books for the fiscal year).
  • Cancel is used for POs that have never and will never been vouchered against. (Example: Think PO created in error or the purchase never happened).
