Project NameAgencyDescriptionEstimated Savings SavingsEstimated Time SavedStatus
Cellphone reduction OMES OMES eliminated 316 cellphones and devices, saving the state $217,432. OMES plans to continue this effort and assist other agencies in the next fiscal year. Employees can still be contacted through Microsoft Teams calls and other methods but with the same customer service and at a lesser cost to the people of Oklahoma. $217,432 In Progress
Celonis OMES OMES has new software that audits state agency purchases in almost real time. This has already prevented rogue purchasing, to the tune of millions of dollars. So far, Celonis has identified $8.48 billion of statutorily exempt purchases by agencies. $193 million of the spend was identified as miscoded or incorrect use of the exemptions. We were also able to reduce the OMES team from 12 full-time employees to six full-time employees. About $359,082 (6 FTEs * Average Salary) About 62,000 FTE hours a year. In Progress
Automated mowers OMES OMES purchased automated mowers, similar to Roomba vacuum cleaners, to mow the Capitol grounds. They will roll out this spring and remove the need for contracted employees that cost the state $200,000 a year. The mowers will cut the grass while also minimizing the need for fertilization and weed control. $200,000 In Progress
LED lighting OMES OMES rolled out an LED lighting replacement program last year to save money and be more energy efficient. That program continues to grow. In 2024, OMES received a $42,000 rebate check from a power company for completing a lighting retrofit project at the Oklahoma Department of Transportation and is now looking to repeat that process at other state agencies. $42,000 In Progress
Technology OMES OMES has negotiated a new colocation to support the state's disaster recovery data services. The new facility exceeds previous capabilities, while better protecting state data. $3,500,000 In Progress
Total Savings $4,318,514.00 62,000 hours
