Applications for Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) are available for those who were impacted by the severe weather that occurred on May 19, 2024 to May 28, 2024 in Blaine, Caddo, Custer, Delaware, Jackson, Mayes, Muskogee and Rogers counties. The deadline to submit a claim for DUA 4791 is August 13, 2024. Applications submitted after these date will be considered untimely unless the individual provides good cause for filing after the deadline. All individuals must file an unemployment insurance claim at https://oklahoma.gov/oesc/individuals. For more information or questions, individuals can call the Unemployment Service Center at 405-525-1500 or visit one of the OESC’s field offices.

Jobless Rates Up Over the Year for Most Oklahoma Counties in October

In October, McIntosh County posted Oklahoma’s highest county unemployment rate of 5.8 percent. Haskell County reported the second-highest rate for the month, followed by Seminole County. Beaver, Dewey and Woods Counties reported the lowest county unemployment rate of 2.1 percent in October. Unemployment rates in October were higher than a year earlier in 65 counties, lower in 9 counties and unchanged in 3 counties.
