Statewide Transportation Improvement Plan (STIP)
What is the STIP?
The Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) is a financially constrained program which details the utilization of Oklahoma's federal and state transportation funds appropriated for regionally significant projects requiring federal action. It includes a list of priority transportation projects to be carried out in a four (4) year period. The purpose of the STIP is to educate the public on future transportation projects and to assure that federal funds are spent on projects selected from approved long range plans.

The complete 2024 – 2027 Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) STIP can be accessed through the “Full” button below.
Note: The Federal Fiscal Year begins on October 1 and ends on September 30 of that year.
Individual Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) segments of the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) consist of two distinct parts:
- Statewide Line Item projects, which are projects deemed to be of insufficient scale to be individually identified in the STIP. These small scale projects are grouped together based on work type or function. Some examples are: County Bridge Projects, County Road Projects, or Rail Crossing Projects. These projects can be found in the beginning pages of the document. As the Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) progresses and needed projects are identified, those projects and their estimates will be added. Line Items can be viewed here.
- Priority transportation projects to be carried out within the stated Federal Fiscal Year (FFY). As project estimates and/or funding formulas change, the Federal, State, and Total expenditure estimates are updated accordingly. Priority transportation projects can be viewed here.
