Engagement Specialist II

Job Description: Under direct supervision, the Engagement Specialist II works with staff to support the library’s strategic goals and initiatives by assisting customers and providing relevant and timely programs and services, both inside and outside the library. This position will assist guests of all ages but will need to have specific interest in developing programming for adults. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Education and Experience: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science from an accredited college or university; and One year of customer service experience. HIGHLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES: Enthusiasm for public service and the ability to work well with a diverse audience. Experience building sustainable community relationships. High level of comfort with program planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Acquisitions Invoice Specialist

Job Description: Under general supervision, the Acquisitions Invoice Specialist is responsible for posting invoices for materials received by the library system and ensuring accurate reconciliation with receiving system data. Creates digital copies of invoices for payment processing and coordinates the application of credit memos. Manages the return of defective or damaged materials to vendors. Assists the Collection Services Assistant Manager with consolidating monthly statements and performing other assigned tasks. Provides mentorship and backup support to Receiving Technicians as needed. Minimum Qualification Required: Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED; additional courses related to business or accounting preferred; and One year of experience with library acquisitions or invoice processing; or, Any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

Coordinator of Undergraduate Research - Librarian II

Job Description: The University of Central Oklahoma Max Chambers Library seeks an experienced library professional to serve as our Coordinator of Undergraduate Research Librarian II. This position is the library’s point person for undergraduate research support, supporting students in academic research and information literacy. Candidates must have an MLIS from an ALA-accredited institution and 3 or more years of relevant experience. Preference will be given to candidates with higher education experience, instruction experience in an academic library, as well as an understanding of teaching and research methodologies. As the Undergraduate Research Librarian, you will work collaboratively with library staff and campus faculty to advocate for and provide research assistance and instruction. The successful candidate will promote the library's role as an essential academic partner, working to ensure that undergraduate students develop the information literacy skills necessary for academic success and lifelong learning. Job Description: The Metropolitan Library System (OK) is looking for a communicative and experienced executive to serve as Chief of Staff. This individual will provide strategic and operational leadership across the library system that serves the entirety of Oklahoma County, including over 800,000 people across suburban, urban, and rural areas. The mission of the Metropolitan Library System is to connect diverse communities with resources and experiences that educate and enrich lives. With 20 physical locations, the library benefits from a supportive community, a thriving Friends of the Library organization, and a Library Endowment Trust. The library is governed by the Metropolitan Library Commission of Oklahoma County, which consists of 27 members representing each municipality that has a library or library extension within its boundaries. The commission has delegated direction and administrative oversight of the library to the Chief Executive Officer. The Chief of Staff will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and will work diligently to improve and strengthen current services and operationalize strategic goals. This role will ensure internal alignment, supervise designated chiefs, and promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and data-informed decision-making.
