Oklahoma CAP Month Action Committee

The CAP Month Action Committee was created in the summer of 2007 with the intention of gathering volunteers, professionals and those interested in child abuse prevention efforts into one organized group which plans, implements and evaluates annual activities for April's National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Such activities include local events and the statewide Child Abuse Prevention Day at the Capitol.

The CAP Action Committee strives to support the National Child Abuse Prevention Month and primary prevention initiatives in Oklahoma throughout the year. We aim to bring together state and community partners and equip them with information, resources, and tools that prioritize the well-being of children, youth, and families. Our ultimate goal is to promote the well-being of children, youth, and families by supporting the National Child Abuse Prevention Month and primary prevention efforts throughout the year.

Vision: The vision of the CAP Action Committee is a state that is free from child abuse and neglect through working together with state and community partners and families to form a strong network to protect and strengthen children and families.

Mission: The mission of the CAP Action Committee is to bring together state and community partners and equip them with information, resources, and tools that prioritize the well-being of children, youth, and families by supporting the National Child Abuse Prevention Month and primary prevention efforts throughout the year.
