Ethics Commission restores established Guardian System to ensure lawful filing, transparency, & public access.  The decision reflects the Commission’s responsibility to:

- Ensure immediate public access to campaign finance information during an active election season.

- Protect filers from compliance risks beyond their control, including no penalties for delayed filings.

- Act as a responsible steward of public funds appropriated by the Legislature.

- Avoid further delays where statutory obligations cannot be met.

The Commission will provide filing guidance and support directly to filers during this transition period.

- Generally, 3rd-Quarter Campaign Finance Reports will be due Jan. 30, while 4th-Quarter will still be due Jan. 31

Adimpact

The Ethics Commission partnered with AdImpact who is a political advertising intelligence firm that tracks and analyzes advertising occurrence and expenditure across traditional, digital, and emerging media channels. The goal of the Ethics Commission and AdImpact partnership is two-fold:

  1. As a resource for the Ethics Commission with Investigations and Audits relating to compliance and enforcement of the Ethics Rules.
  2. To provide the Citizens of Oklahoma with a snapshot of the political advertising spend for our Oklahoma elections via a specialized partnership where Adimpact is allowing the Ethics Commission to utilize customized exports from their proprietary system.

Below you will find an interactive dashboard of the summary of the Oklahoma political advertising data for 2025.  Based on the data provided, AdImpact reflects that there was over $7.5 million spent on political advertising in Oklahoma markets.

This dataset includes political advertising spend from the state's 5 major Designated Market Areas (DMAs), Digital/CTV, & Desktop/Mobile.
