The following calendars are provided for reference for State Candidate Committees. The required schedules are also loaded in The Guardian System for these entities.

State candidates may register at any time. However, candidates must register within 10 days after spending or receiving in excess of $1,000. Once a candidate registers, they are obligated to file reports according to the assigned schedule until the committee is (1) dissolved, and (2) a final report is filed. Please be aware of the Mandatory Dissolution dates at the bottom of each schedule.

These checklists were created to assist candidates and filers in dissolving and/or transitioning their candidate committees. Please follow the step-by-step instructions carefully.

These documents were created to educate candidates in specific areas of concern, to provide additional information, and to give direction to assist in following the Ethics Rules.

The Oklahoma Ethics Commission periodically provides education programs for candidate committees. The Commission offers candidate workshops, which discuss the Ethics Rules as they apply to candidate committees, and candidate committee dissolution and transition programs, which provide guidance to candidate committees on dissolving the committee and transitioning from one candidate committee to another. Review the applicable guides under the “Resources” tab. Contact the Ethics Commission staff at (405) 521-3451 or ethics@ethics.ok.gov with any questions.
