OKLAHOMA CITY – The Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust (TSET) Board of Directors awarded $54,000 in TSET Healthy Incentive Grants to five towns and cities across Oklahoma at their regular board meeting on Thursday, January 30. These grants support local initiatives to improve health and wellness.
TSET Healthy Incentive Grants for Communities provide funding to municipalities that adopt policies promoting local health, such as creating tobacco-free spaces and improving access to healthy foods and physical activities. The communities of Colcord, Hobart, Kansas, Tryon and Westville will use the grant funds to enhance local parks and trails and provide healthier opportunities like action-based learning, such as interactive and movement-based programs for the public library.
“These grants are a direct reflection of TSET’s mission to create healthier communities across Oklahoma,” said Julie Bisbee, executive director of TSET. “By enhancing parks and public spaces with resources that support active and healthy lifestyles, we’re making a meaningful investment in the well-being of future generations.”

Since the program’s beginning, TSET has awarded more than $5 million in Healthy Incentive Grants to cities and towns throughout Oklahoma. The next application period for communities is March 3-28.
TSET also offers Healthy Incentive Grants for schools, with an application period currently open until February 7, 2025. Schools interested in improving health and wellness for students and staff are encouraged to apply.
