Durant Sustainability Coalition
Location: Bryan County
Project: Building a Stronger Plan for Community Health
Timeline: June 2025 – September 2025
Durant Sustainability Coalition is a local volunteer group working to improve biking, walking and other active transportation options. These changes help families stay active and spend more time outside, both of which support better health.
Through TSET Capacity Building, the group worked with an expert to create a step-by-step plan that shows how their daily work connects to big goals, like improving health and making their town a better place to live. This kind of plan is called a theory of change.
The project brought board members together, helped them think about their long-term goals and gave them tools to lead. It also helped the group earn trust from others in the community, including city leaders.
Christian Helping Hands
Location: Stephens County
Project: Strengthening Leadership and Planning for Women and Families
Timeline: August 2025 – January 2026
Christian Helping Hands is a nonprofit serving Stephens County. The organization works to improve the lives of women and families by operating a food pantry and clothing closet and providing housing for women coming out of difficult life situations.
Through TSET Capacity Building, the organization strengthened staff skills in goal setting, action planning and program evaluation. This work helped the team better connect daily services to long-term outcomes for the women and families they serve.
The project also gave staff practical tools to measure progress, improve programs and plan for the future. With clearer goals and stronger systems in place, Christian Helping Hands is better prepared to support people in Stephens County who rely on its services and to help individuals and families move toward long-term stability.
TSET Capacity Building meets communities where they are and helps them grow their ability to support better health for everyone who lives there.
