Healthy communities make it easier for Oklahomans to live healthier lives. The TSET Healthy Incentive Grant for Communities helps Oklahoma cities and towns create healthier environments by adopting health-promoting policies and ordinances and implementing best and promising practices in tobacco-free environments, access to healthy foods and physical activity.
These policies, practices and community projects support healthier places to live, work and play while helping improve the health and quality of life of residents. Communities must meet grant criteria related to tobacco, nutrition, physical activity and employee wellness to be eligible for funding.
The FY27 Communities Resource Guide is the main resource for preparing an application. It outlines eligibility, key dates, funding, application requirements and allowable uses of grant funds. It also includes instructions for preparing required documents and meeting policy, ordinance and community assessment criteria.
The guide includes sample policies, ordinance language, a budget justification template, a project plan template and other resources to help communities prepare.
